Diagnostic Psychological
Assessment and Counseling
for children, teens, adults, and couples

Sari Dangler, MS, LPC, LSSP, Owner and Founder

Positive Path PLLC was established to provide you with comprehensive care, and the best possibilities to find the ideal match for your needs!

I started my journey in counseling in 2008 when I completed my year-long internship . Later, I worked for several years at the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center, providing counseling services and completing court-ordered psychological assessments. Since then, I have worked in private practice since 2012 and as a school psychologist in area schools for the past 13 years. During this time, I have connected with culturally diverse people from different ethnic backgrounds in individual, group, family, and couples/marriage counseling and have completed hundreds of Diagnostic Psychological Assessments.

In counseling, I enjoy working together with children as young as 5 years old, teenagers, adults, and families. I love working with different people of different ages, who have different approaches to life, and I always learn something from each one of you.

I moved to Texas from Finland in 1999, and my native language is Finnish. Since I moved here and uprooted myself from what I had called home for a long time, I have gained new experiences and relationships, had many moments of happiness and joy, earned several degrees at school, and had many jobs but have also experienced personal struggles such as divorce, single parenthood, losses, and blending families. However, everything I have experienced has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I now live with my husband, one of our four children, and two dogs in our home in Frisco.

Diagnostic Psychological Assessments

Sari Dangler, MS, LPC, LSSP has been completing Psychological Assessments since 2009 to assist with correct diagnosis and treatment focus thereafter. Oftentimes, it makes it easier to know how to handle the difficulties you face when you truly understand the underlying issues.

She completes the Diagnostic Psychological Assessment for as young as 2 years to adults in a multitude or areas including Autism, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Personality Disorders, etc. They are meant to assist with diagnosis, recommendations to address the conditions in question, look at individual strengths, make recommendations for home, school, work, and/ or college settings, and fulfill the evaluation requirements for ABA therapy.

Typically the evaluations consist of the consultation meeting during which the process of the evaluation is discussed, areas of evaluation focus is decided, in person testing is scheduled. Often other components that are needed are parent and/ or client interview, collecting information from other sources (e.g. teachers, therapists, etc.), as well as me scoring of the forms, interpreting the information, and writing the report. After all components are completed, a feedback meeting will take place to go over the evaluation results.

You will receive a comprehensive evaluation report including the diagnosis and appropriate recommendations when the evaluation is completed that you can share with your doctor, psychiatrists, pediatrician, school, college, work, etc. Currently, these evaluations are completed from the initial consultation to the feedback session in about 3 to 4 weeks depending on the depth and length of the evaluation.

Each of our counselors are independent licensed practitioners and manage their own schedule and practice.
