The Frisco Public Library is located in the new state of the art facility at 8000 Dallas Parkway, just East off of DNT, near the Frisco Discover Center, and just south of the Frisco City Hall.

About the Frisco Library
In 1990, the Frisco Public Library was located in a house on Main Street and staffed by volunteers. Over the years, as city budget funds became available, the library grew and was relocated to the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center. In March 2023 the library relocated again to a new, larger, state of the art facility taking up over 150,000 square feet of educational space.

The new library is a source of great pride for Frisco residents, drawing visitors from all over for its amenitios:
- Massive Space: The library spans 158,068 square feet, making it the sixth largest public library in Texas, with triple the space of its previous location.
- High-Tech Amenities: Equipped with 210 computers, 93 Wi-Fi access points, augmented reality/virtual reality holographic computers, self-checkout stations, and an online reservation system for study and conference rooms.
- Rexy the T-Rex: A 22-foot tall, 42-foot long replica of a Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, Rexy serves as a unique and iconic mascot for the library.
- Interactive Children's Areas: Includes "Tiny Town" with a Ready to Read Railroad, pretend market, construction site, and veterinarian clinic, alongside STEM-themed activities like robotics and microscopes.
- Makerspace: A self-service area where visitors can use a 3D printer, laser cutter, CNC machine, and even an Espresso Book Machine for aspiring authors.
- Flexible and Modern Design: Features movable furniture, bookshelves on wheels, and a design inspired by the Texas Blackland Prairie, allowing adaptability for future needs.
- Community-Oriented Spaces: Includes the Creativity Commons for club meetings and events, social stairs, and study rooms with dry-erase boards for tutoring or project planning.
- Art Installations: Includes "Storied Landscape," featuring literary quotes from famous authors, and "Community of Explorers," showcasing Frisco's diverse and vibrant community.
- Events and Programs: Hosts a variety of events, including puppet shows, cooking demonstrations, and equipment demos, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.
- Comprehensive Book and Media Collection: Houses approximately 284,000 items, with 22% available digitally.
