Frisco Police Respond to Welfare Concern, Safely Resolve 7-Hour Standoff

From The Frisco Police Department:
INFORMATION 10/12/24 at 9:13 a.m. - Last night, 10/11/24, at around 8:45 p.m., Frisco officers responded to a welfare concern at a residence in the 10100 block of Burgundy Drive. A subject inside was possibly armed and had expressed an intent to commit suicide. Also, inside were two young children.
Frisco SWAT, as well as McKinney SWAT members and negotiators, soon arrived on the scene. After nearly seven hours of negotiation, both children were safely removed from the house. The incident continued until approximately 8:15 a.m. when the subject was taken into custody without incident.
The Frisco Police Department would like to thank the members of the McKinney Police Department for their assistance in bringing this to a peaceful conclusion.
