Frisco man sentenced to 75 years after stabbing Lyft driver & attempted child kidnapping
Antwain Karmen Williams, 20, of Frisco, was sentenced to 75 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated robbery.
On Dec. 16, 2024, Williams stabbed his Lyft driver multiple times and stole his vehicle. The driver suffered a slit throat and a severely cut hand, underwent emergency surgery and survived.
According to the Collin County District Attorney's Office, investigators recovered Snapchat messages showing Williams planned to steal the car to kidnap a 13-year-old child. Williams already had an outstanding arrest warrant in a separate case involving that same child.
Williams fled in the stolen vehicle, crashed into another car and was arrested by a Texas DPS trooper.
A Collin County jury handed down the sentence after hearing evidence of the attack, the kidnapping plan and other misconduct.
