Officers Awarded the Collin County Sheriff's Office Life Saving Award
On September 27, 2022, Captain Christensen, Detention Officer Kleppe, and Detention Officer Franco responded to an inmate's attempted suicide by asphyxiation. Officer Kleppe and Officer Franco gained control of the inmate while Captain Christensen untied the ligature from his neck. Once the ligature was removed, the inmate was safely restrained in order to prevent further harm.
Captain Christensen, Detention Officer Kleppe, and Detention Officer Franco were decorated with the Collin County Sheriff's Office Life Saving Award for meritorious conduct that resulted in saving a life.
