Volunteer opportunities!!!!

The company I work for is looking for volunteer opportunities, things we can do to help the community. Previously we have gone to the food bank and helped pack food. Made dog pulls for support dogs. Now looking for something different. Anyone have any suggestions? A plus if we can do it in office.

I was thinking maybe something with the VA but open to anything

Tamara: we actually have helped Dallas Food Pantry and Help Our Starving Children. I can suggest working more locally with Frisco if the hours work. Thank you.

The food pantry at Frisco Family Services on Main Street is desperately looking for volunteers to drive trucks or ride along to pick up donations at grocery stores. We run the truck & van from about 7:30-11:00 AM Monday-Friday. Do it as much or as little as you want. The help is really needed. Call Frisco Family Services or simply go to the food pantry & they'll get you connected!

I'm happy to volunteer with Frisco Family Services, but it looks like there's a $12 fee for a background check. I wish this cost was covered by the organization. Since we're giving our time and offering free help, is there any way to have the fee waived for volunteers?
