@Jjj: Wow I am not sure what to say about this. As a resident I am not quite sure how I feel about so much growth but I love New Yorkers! Welcome!!

Fine, as long as they leave their blue politics in NY.
Hopefully, they love Texas…

Well I'm an ex New Yorker but actually moved here to get out of California. Both were great cities at one time but now they both lost all appeal. Al southern cal has is weather.

It's not your average mom and pop moving here is most likely the rich folks. But I wouldn't mind a nice bodega or two coming here lol

@Arnie: I agree. CA is a great place to visit. I really want to visit NY but get a little spooked by the crime.

Born and raised in New York but lived most of my adult years in L.A. I'm a New Yorker at heart and that's where I got my street smarts. California was amazing when I moved there in '76. Sadly I've seen it go down hill starting in the 90's Love living in Frisco. I'm lucky cause everyone one here complains about traffic and prices going up it's heaven to me based on where I came from. The only traffic I see here is going in to Dallas and back rush hour. I think the flow of traffic lights here needs improvement and left turns in either direction should be at the same time. The widening of roads is very helpful. When it comes to expense Texans have no idea how good they have it. Yet in the 8 years I live here I think things went up to fast, Especially housing. I think I lost track of what I was trying to respond to lol

@Arnie: Glad you are here!!! My experience being born here and now with half of the country catching on to how great Texas and moving here is pretty awesome staying home and meeting those from afar. This is Gods country in my opinion

Just stay in midtown. I give you a good hotel not too expensive right in the action. Get tickets to a couple of Broadway shows, take the hop on hop off bus and you get to see everything. Then make a list of the must see and you won't have an issue with crime and have an amazing time. Take 5 days if you want to squeeze it all in or a week is perfect.
